In short: SentryRF (by SentryRF) stores all of your data only on your own device. There is no account and no server copy, so deleting is entirely in your hands — clear it inside the app, or uninstall, and it is gone permanently.
What data SentryRF holds
All data created by the SentryRF app is stored exclusively on your device in a local encrypted database. This is the complete list of what exists, and all of it is what the steps below delete:
- Detected devices — Bluetooth, WiFi, and RF device records found during scans, including their addresses and names.
- Location sightings — approximate and precise location points saved with detections, used on-device to tell whether a device is following you and to locate trackers. Never transmitted off your device.
- Threat history and scan sessions — the log of past detections and assessments.
- Settings and geofence configuration — your app preferences and any safe-zone locations you set.
SentryRF has no user accounts and operates with no cloud server, no analytics, and no telemetry. None of the data above is ever uploaded, so there is no off-device copy for anyone — including us — to hold or delete on your behalf.
How to delete your data
Option 1 — Delete inside the app (recommended)
- Open SentryRF.
- Go to Settings.
- Open the Privacy & Security section.
- Tap Clear All Data and confirm.
This permanently erases every item listed above from your device immediately.
Option 2 — Uninstall the app
- Remove SentryRF from your device the way you remove any app.
Because all data lives in the app's private on-device storage, uninstalling permanently deletes the entire database — detections, sightings, history, and settings — along with the app.
Automatic deletion
Even if you do nothing, SentryRF automatically deletes old data on a rolling schedule. By default, data older than 30 days is removed automatically. You can change this retention window to anywhere from 7 to 90 days in Settings → Privacy & Security. Older records are permanently deleted from your device once they pass the window you choose.
What is deleted and what is kept
Deleted: all detected devices, location sightings (approximate and precise), threat history, scan sessions, geofence configuration, and app settings — everything the app has stored on your device.
Kept: nothing. Because SentryRF stores no data off your device and holds no account, there is no retained copy anywhere after you delete in-app or uninstall. Your app-store subscription record is held by Google Play or the Amazon Appstore under their own policies and is separate from any data SentryRF stores; manage or cancel it through your store account.
